mmm rolled oats and frozen blueberries....cooked enough for tomorrow morning too
umm i dont know what to do with these lol
This was waiting for me at the post office, totally forgot i ordered it for the Alice in Wonderland party that is no longer happening siiiiiiiiigh, I can still wear it around the house though! its heavy...lol

found out cilantro has pretty flowers...i'm hoping to collect seeds from these things
evan is just drooling waiting for these to show some signs of ripening
this is all the carrots i grew because my seeds sort of drifted all over my garden after i sowed them during heavy rain and most of the carrots were too crowded
fresh lettuce and basil from the garden...for my recipe!

I'm making spring rolls! Cut up the cucumber and some carrots and marinated them in rice vinegar and olive oil (had no sesame oil wah) and a bit of salt and sugar
chopped up my lettuce and basil from the garden and some cilantro from the grocery store (ran out of cilantro in the garden)
boiled some ramen in chicken broth (had no rice noodles)
drained the marinade into a separate bowl (its going to be the dipping sauce)
Added a little less than a teaspoon of chili paste to the marinade

and some fiish sauce, then its ready

sit the rice paper in hot-ish water until its hydrated (a few seconds)

then u put it in and wrap it!

 had to taste test lol

also didn't get many walla walla onions out...my garden was way to small, and i will never have two zucchini plants again..those things are beyond gigantic
These were pan fried in a bit of olive oil, grated fresh ginger, some more fish sauce, salt, pepper, and two crushed garlic cloves and about 1/3 cup of cooked down sugar (which i cooked down in a separate pot - its hard to keep it from hardening so transfer  it fast into the hot chicken pan! i'm sure you can cook it down first and then put everything else in with it though)

my husband was smitten. the fresh basil really adds a kick to these things. first time i had them was in a vietnamese restuarant in Ottawa and I didnt really like  the strong basil flavour, but the more i eat fresh herbs the more i like them
In other news, my son hand feeds peanuts to a chipmunk that lives across the street in the bushes
haha he's a blur of speed

I went for a pontoon boat ride yesterday! But I have no pictures because my phone was at home charging. What a fail. We even saw a painted turtle basking on a log.

I am on my 4th day with no coffee. I was even afraid to try tea in case the burning stomach pains came back but i barely steeped the tea bag and mixed it with a lot of milk and have had two cups of that a day since. I don't think I'm getting much caffeine (an 8oz cup of tea is supposed to have around 50mg versus 150 in coffee) but it's enough to make me feel like I'm still on my same routine - oh except for the MASSIVE sugar cravings and frequent and long naps. My mother brings a little baggie of cookies here to share with Damien sometimes because we have none in the house (such a grandma thing to do) and she left them here....I don't even like cookies and I demolished 3 of them -YUCK! But I instantly felt better afterwards. Reading this puts some sense to it. I am forcing myself to get back on the workout routine today too since yesterday was my son's first day back to daycare after their yearly 2 week closure. Yesterday I didn't do it because I wanted the 6 hours to be spent being lazy with my husband in a baby free house.

Jewelry for a family theme party I bought that was subsequently cancelled , oh well. I guess I can still wear them, but I have no meaning for spades (it was an Alice in Wonderland themed party - my family is awesome)
On Halloween he dressed as a Greaser from the Outsiders, the rest of the year he's a Soc haha

my husband liked my typo
We are already giving a lot of these away, but I'm making another chili today with some in it
Evan's tomatoes are going to be HUGE before they ripen! I call them his because he took way more interest in the garden than I did in the end. I'm glad though.
About the only pic we got before his phone died too, toddler sasquatch prints

day 1 of kerry's new healthier lifestyle! green tea in the morning
i finally remembered to use my new salad tupperware
it has an ice pack and a salad dressing holder...how cute! got me some kraft calorie wise french dressing in there
brought all my teas ...wasn't sure what i was going to want...went with a green chai
had salad from the garden...those cucumbers seemingly came out of nowhere...they grow super fast
i realize this book is supposed to come as a companion to some sort of diet and exercise plan but the recipes were irresistible looking

he's hard to see, but we were watching a bird eat a cracker...that he already had...we stumbled upon him and he didnt fly away, so we lingered and watched
someday i will have a better camera

we both love the trees here at bellevue park

the obligatory seagull chasing...he says "hey come back here!"

If there's water nearby, he will be in it
Then we went for a drive onto St. Joseph Island where Damien slept and Evan and I snacked (woops) and then we stopped at some more water

Then I got called in to work and missed out on a family birthday party
Also, I had a second burning pain nausea attack (the first was after a midday coffee and taking my vitamins, so I thought it was the vitmains fault) after drinking coffee and realized I have mild gastritis which could lead to a freakin ulcer if I don't change some things. So I'm changing them for good this time. Scary. my dad lived with an ulcer and I could tell he was often in a pain fog that prevented him from fully enjoying life.

We cleaned my basement this week which has been a long time coming. A lot of dusting, vacuuming, throwing away and donating of items, and moving thigs around. My old bedroom is down there and we set it up as a guest bedroom for my mother to nap in when she's over. We bought her a foam mattress topper and a memory foam pillow too! She has fibromyalgia. Another thing I hope isn't genetic! Yeesh
